DC has been touting for weeks how they were going to beef up security during the count because they expected massive crowds.

Here we are on the day of the count and there was very few security police in that building,I think it was more staged in order to give others an out and an excuse.

No way they would have had minimum security levels in that building,let alone scaffolding lined up at the wall to make it easy for people to climb up.

That is the first thing they would have removed.

I agree that there is no excuse for breaking windows and trespassing in federal buildings. People who do so should be arrested. I said the same thing about antifa terrorists doing the same plus antifa tore down statues and did arson. Detroit was right to not tolerate that violence unlike a lot of other Democratic cities. Two federal post offices were burned down in Minneapolis for instance. Grandpa Smurf was right when he said "I call on President Trump to go on national television now to fulfil his oath and defend the Constitution and demand an end to this siege". Too bad he couldn't have mustered the same outrage when hundreds of businesses and a few federal offices were attacked or destroyed in the Twin Cities and Portland. Maybe Grandpa Smurf has been in Washington, D.C. so long that all those other places don't matter so much.

Another disparity in Washington, D,C. was the use of force. Four were killed at last count with no outrage and hardly a mention by the corporate press. The Mayor who would not clear a park near the White House of antifa threatening the President, called up 350 D.C. national guard troops. I don't think they had their act together before the occupation of the Capitol. Since then, Gov. Cuomo called up 1,000 NY national guard troops to be an invasionary force to occupy D.C. until after the inauguration. That's unheard of. It wasn't an act of Congress or the Commander in Chief. When Trump called up national guard troops up to shore up ICE along the Mexican border, Democrats used courts to end that program but here is a Governor who sends his troops into the Capitol as a probably unconstitutional occupation force and 'crickets'.

I should not calling the president elect Grandpa Smurf although it is fitting and funny. I don't hate him. His is just a puppet of the corporatists who put him into office after all. Just as Obama tolerated ISIS as an enemy of his enemy in Syria, these corporatists will tolerate the dingy left as allies against working class and lower middle class Americans. Like Grandpa Smurf, the dingy left will be on a relatively short chain. Example: "affordable" taxpayer subsidized housing will make the rich, richer. The left gets its 'free affordable housing', the rich get richer producing them, and working Americans and our children get the bill. Yesterday was despicable, however I had no doubt that those activities would not go on into the late evening hours. When you're an over 50 protester, it's not easy to stay out in the cold for hours on end, walking several miles while carrying signs, shouting as you go. Eventually food, medication, and naps are required. A 2nd day of protesting is not physically on their agenda, simply because it's not physically possible.
