March 11 number of testing kits in the state of Michigan
    130

As of Saturday number of confirmed cases in Michigan
    4650

How did they get the test kits from the CDC if they were told not to help?

First 8 tested were negative but you know 4650 have been tested but we do not know how many tested negative which would have needed more kits.

They were receiving help before even it was requested.

"I think we're going to see a flow of new cases this week because the testing is now available. ...

    https://www.freep.com/story/news/hea...ls/4929112002/

You are not seeing the amount of testing in other states like you are seeing in the heaviest hit.

Which there has to be a correlation.

But as of March 11 the state was saying it was well prepared and hospitals stocked, then 1 week later came all of the screaming and demanding,I don’t know why people think they have to get loud and yell in order to get somebodies attention, all one needs to do is ask.

The amount of cases in the US doubles every other day,if people were not getting the testing kits like they say how would they know it doubled every other day.

Not sure if it still applies but it was only cases submitted by a medical facility were counted,if one passes at home it is not counted or if one is not tested and recovered outside of the medical tactility, they are not counted.

The main symptoms of COVID-19 include a cough, shortness of breath and a fever. Additionally, you might have digestive problems ― like nausea or diarrhea ― a headache and a sore throat. At the onset of the illness, you may experience a loss of smell or taste.

Two weeks ago the experts were saying diarrhea was not a symptom and now they say it is.

Forgive me if this has already been posted... I just don't have the time or energy to read all these posts.

Talks about Germany's very low death rate among coronavirus countries...

    https://www.businessinsider.com/germ...lthcare-2020-3

Having one of the best health care systems in the world... AND having a leader that listens to the health care experts.. likely helped save lives.

Also Germany has a much higher number of hospital beds per 100,000 people than either Italy or Spain.

Not sure if that's correct either. What was happening for sure is many states had firm orders only to be told they wouldn't receive it because the Feds now take priority and the order was going to them. Not only were states bidding against each other but the Feds would buy stuff at a higher price than the states would have initially paid and then turn around and send it to the states. A little coordination is in order.

The president also said that when the states called about the bids, the Feds dropped theirs,it’s a closed bidding process, how does one know who is bidding against them?

Its not like they are on ebay, company says,I have 10,000 masks and bids of the most amount that you will pay is submitted.

If the average sale is $5 per unit and you put your max at $3,odds are you will not win.

France has ordered 1 billion face masks from China, the irony of it all,the country that this started in is now providing the rest of the world in supplies, quite profitable.

I have not done the conversion but they paid $650 million euro for 1 billion masks, they did not specify CV19 masks.

France,Italy and Spain have the highest number of cases, has done the most amount of testing outside of China while having the most people on lock down for the longest time.

Frances expert while in a press update with there president said point blank,we do not know if it can be spread from surfaces, how long it lasts or even 100% how it is spread.

NY has over 58,000 confirmed cases,so without using their own stash, they have already received at least 58,000 test kits while saying they have received no help, still do not know of the ratio of tested false verses positive

Germany has reported that reason of the lower rates is because they started preparing the medical community and hospitals when it first hit in China,so they were not blindsided by it.

Italy and the UK have the highest elderly population in Europe and they say Italians have a healthier lifestyle then Germany.

    Simple solution.

Every state has a plan and stockpile in place based on the 2015 pandemic test run, every state had the responsibility to hold the line for at least 30 to 60 days until the federal government can ramp up,she immediately attacked the federal government.

A: provide the plan and stock list to the public.
B: whistle blowers would be crawling out of the woodwork if they were actually ordered to not supply certain states.
C: The president has a base in Michigan,he is not that stupid to tell suppliers not to provide to the state.
D:The intent of the governor was successful, people took it at face value, with zero evidence, rational or facts and immediately attacked the president in essence trying to turn the entire state to her favor.

From 2009 to 2018 there are thousands of warnings and recommendations for states and the medical community on how to prepare for a pandemic from the CDC and from within the medical community.

2018 Bill Gates actually said we were in line for one and set up a $100 million fund to deal with one,at that time.

This will pass and through it all politics will remain politics and it is a game of revolving chairs, when the dust settles there will be hearings for the next year.

Most likely early February probably was not the best time to be holding hearings on the presidents reaction to the closing of borders to China travelers and gong down the racist lines of attack.

State Representatives were smack dab in the lap and a part of the federal government at that time, they still had a voice and option on where to place it when it came time to prepare.

It is a global supply shortage, demand all one wants but no leader in the world has been able to pull something out of their tush that does not exist.

New cases in Detroit have jumped 111% in 8 days which indicates that the testing level has risen 111% in 8 days, how is that even possible if no new supplies are not coming in.

So the Fed takes priority over every state? Whitmer made it sound like Trump singled out Michigan. That's what i was asking.

If this is not a wake up punch in the head to divest away from China, then I don't know what is.
I suspect the US is the only country that has any chance divesting away from China and rebuilding back home.
We have the technology [[much stolen or sold to China).
We have the brains [[much bought by Chinese firms)
    We have the capital
    We have the infrastructure
    We have the workforce
    We have the motivation
Now we need the political will and that means unity. Imaging what the US can accomplish if both parties united toward a common good of the nation rather than divided over what benefits everyone else but us. My hopes are that this disaster exposes the silver lining blaring so obviously in our faces.

^ agree 100% but as we see the public has a short term memory, wants it now and cheap and the politicians that get elected that try and accomplish this are viewed as scum.

With the regulations it takes 25 years to get approval to build a oil refinery, that is even before ground is broken.

Not so nice videos coming out of the southern part of Italy,Naples,Palmaro etc. after 3 weeks of lockdown and kinda shows why the reluctance in long term lockdowns,it is not everybody singing on the balconies.

Good news is they have cleared a new 15 minute testing procedure for the corona virus.Instead of having to wait until the next day.

90% of India’s economy depends in the gig community, that is 1 billion people in lockdown that will run out of cash and food within a couple of days, they had 4 hours to prepare from the time it was announced.

Uganda two people have been shot while using the military to enforce their lock down,if they catch shop owners open they drag them out in the streets and beat them,I guess that is one way,if they see you in the streets they shoot you.

Johannesburg does not have the manpower to enforce lockdown and cannot control the high density community’s where nobody is honoring the lockdown, tight qaurters to be locked down in your 10x10 house.

A lot of these countries,Italy,France,Spain have high gig economies and a lot of immigrants that have no income and no way to acquire food during a lockdown.

Cases in NY where hospitals at full capacity were ordering 10,000 masks went to ordering 300,000 in the same time period, lots of questions as to motives out there.

It is a horrible virus but as bad as people think it is in this country, there is no other country I would want to be in but here.

Yes. I was agreeing with you when you stated you questioned if what Whitmer said about the Feds was correct. I did hear at least 4 or 5 different governors on CNN state they were losing confirmed orders to the Feds. Whitmer indeed must be careful and I believe she has gone a long way to mend fences after getting help from the Feds via Pence. Trump, on the other hand, calling her "that woman from Michigan" is despicable, just as calling the Washington governor a loser was.
