Did the money come from campaign funds or from his own stash? If the hush money was paid in the context of protecting his campaign, then the payment violated campaign finance laws. But it's not likely to go anywhere and even if he was found guilty I don't think there are major consequences. There's also no indication that this is connected to Russia, so this is unrelated to and outside of the scope of Mueller's Russia investigation.
When he, his daughter, his son-in-law, Sessions, Perry and every one else associated with the whole crooked bunch are in prison.
Trump's Lawyer paid the money himself, and took out a loan against his own house to do it. So technically it's not Trump's money, and it's not Trump campaign money. But it's hard to believe that the lawyer would personally pay that money without expecting compensation later on. Presumably the lawyer personally paid the money in order to obscure the connection between the NDA/hush money, and some combination of Trump, the Trump organization, or the Trump campaign.
I'm not sure how much it matters who paid the money. If it's a campaign expenditure and the lawyer paid it I think that counts as an undocumented campaign contribution. And if it's a campaign expenditure I think it needs to be documented in certain ways. I'm not a lawyer and I don't know the details of exactly how these things work, but having someone pay for campaign related stuff to avoid having it show up in campaign records is illegal.
But like I said I personally don't think it's ultimately going to go anywhere.
And you will really know what it means when you cannot keep your doctor and need to fill that prescription in order to deal with the letdown when none of that fails to materialize.

Well I did hear from an un-named source that one time 37 years ago when he was in a store he did kinda run his hand a little to far up Barbies skirt,I am shure Ken was keeping a watchful eye on him though so it may be just speculation.
You haven't been reading about her have you? She's not doing porn movies as an actor, she's producing and directing movies. Plus, she's doing the strip clubs because her DVD's need a boost in sales. She doesn't get royalties from the DVDs she produces, but she sells them at the clubs. She gave an interview and said she was unable to do the movies like she used to because of all this mess.
^ she created the mess in order to gain publicity,if she was still popular and in demand, producing or not,she would have been picked up by a distributor and not had to do the club circuit.
If she was still all of that her name only would have sold movies, but she is not so she has to think of different ways to gain attention and what better way then to conveniently jumping on the anti trump bandwagon.
It gives her 3.5 million supporters just by saying Trump is a bad guy, then throw a little sex in there mixed in with some drama and you have a not made for TV drama.
In the realm of things $130k is chump change,if she excepted it either she was desperate or did not feel that she had a chance. She did not know at the time he would become president in the future. So now she takes a gamble with nothing to lose, international publicity may pay off, case or not.
So Trump hires porn stars to have sex with, and pays them all off, and this is not Trump's fault, this is the porn stars' fault?
And it's the porn star's fault because you believe she is creating messes for publicity? Trump has made an entire reality tv and now political career out of creating messes for publicity.
So tell me again how none of his reflects poorly on the president of the United States of America and leader of the free world?
Where is the proof that he hired a porn star for sex?
She has made allegations, they have not been proven or disproven,if he did at a time when he was not in public service and it was between two consenting adults, who cares what he may or may not have done.
Why,if he did, would he even waste money on a past porn star When as a billionaire he could pick up the phone and have whoever he wants that looks a lot better then her,not to even go down the road of the hundreds she has already been with, there are no bragging rights in that.
I think the story with Trump is that he could offer opportunities, etc. in return for her favors. E.g., television exposure. Maybe usage of a condo which he could visit when she's present.Where is the proof that he hired a porn star for sex?

The story here is potential 'blackmail' if that is the appropriate term.
She has a 'story' which is very valuable because of his public prominence and the fact that he was [[and is) married.
P.S. I put 'blackmail' in quotes as it may not be blackmail at all. Folks hear she has a juicy story and tabloids make their living off of them. So he voluntarily tries to silence her or have a tabloid 'buy and kill' the story.

Trump's legal team has confirmed the NDA and the payment. That part of it is not up for dispute.
So a porn star and Donald Trump did something together, and whatever that something was, it was worth it to pay her six figures not to tell anyone about it.
It's not rocket science to deduct what the "something" was.
Obviously Trump cares a lot about it because he threw a lot of hush money at her, and his legal team is working every angle of it, including doing media tours. And frankly his legal team has a lot of things on their plate right now so this seems to be pretty important to them. She has made allegations, they have not been proven or disproven,if he did at a time when he was not in public service and it was between two consenting adults, who cares what he may or may not have done.
Because Trump is a tasteless and his idea of a sexy time is hiring "models" and "porn stars", just like his idea of being wealthy is spray painting everything gold, just like his idea of being good looking is a "tan" and "hair".Why,if he did, would he even waste money on a past porn star When as a billionaire he could pick up the phone and have whoever he wants that looks a lot better then her,not to even go down the road of the hundreds she has already been with, there are no bragging rights in that.
But on the flip side, why would a porn star who has had sex countless times with countless other porn stars go out of her way to spend time with Donald Trump, unless she was being compensated for it? What is it about her that would cause Trump to seek her out or have them cross paths, and what other ways would they be engaging with each other if it wasn't for sex?
^ the thing is,because we are not privy to the NDA we can only speculate as to what happened or did not happen.
If she approached him about a reality show, like porn stars of LA or something like that she would have also have signed a NDA.
But to pass judgment because of what one thinks in their mind is a slippery slope, the one thing for sure is that if the NDA is made public it will have ramifications across the business world because they are used frequently.
So then the case could be made that they are unenforceable,so locally would that effect the recent Amazon bid results?
So we may never know and just be stuck with creating more reasons to show our displeasure with the currant president, there appears to be no shortage of those and the mind can get creative when it wants to.
But still at the end of the day even if he did anything,he was not in office,if she is attempting blackmail then she will be investigated by the proper authorities,I do not believe in extramarital sex but we also have had no shortages of beloved presidents engaging in the practices while in office.
Was Kennedy sleeping with marlyin? If he was it surly did not effect his approval ratings, even back then when things were not so liberal moral wise as they are today.
I am just more concerned about what he achieves while in office verses what he did before, because that is not going to help get things accomplished that need to be done.
In the legal world payoffs are not uncommon, insurance companies do it all of the time figuring the time and expense so it is easier to just pay out.
To You and me $120,000 is a lot of money but considering the stakes Why that amount? It is chump change and if it was really that serious I would think the amount would have been much higher, that is barely a new demostic car and a few nights out on the town.
Or 120,000 pole dances.

One of the best and funniest descriptions I've heard!
So you two can show us pictures of yourselves so we can get an idea of what good looking is comparatively?
I thought we teach our children not to bully or shame others for their appearance,it is clear where they get it by example.
Ya know, at one time Muhammad Ali was the most famous man in the world.
Now it's The Donald.
Every one knows already that sex sells.
Now we have the Donald and he sells too.
The media loves the Donald....the media loves to hate the Donald.
24/7
We have a two fer going.
The common denominators on the worse threads - those threads that are all Heat but no Light - sure are consistent.
You have to give it to Orange Caligula, the RWNJs have never been in better shape. The mental gymnastics, the bending over backwards, the constant moving of goal posts. It must be quite the workout.
This is my view from 40,000 feet, just below the heavens:
1). Posters on forums, newspaper writers, talking heads on television, etc. etc. can have fun. Everyone has their opinion.
"At the end of the day", though:
2). The opinions of Bob Mueller and juries in say D.C., maybe Manhattan and Alexandria, Va will matter. I do live in NoVa so I have a very, very small chance of being on a jury. If I get called and hold us a little placard which says, "Lock them [[all) up." my chance of being on the jury becomes zero. Of course, if I'm not careful, I could get locked up. Not good.
3). Believers believe there will be a last judgement and the defendants will need to answer again for what they might have done.
So the bottom line isn't Maddow vs. Hannity, etc. but Mueller, juries and the Almighty.
All of that said, I'm a baby boomer and remember Watergate well. This appears similar with a fair number of defendants who are at risk of spending time...
The big difference was Watergate was a physical burglary and its consequences and cover up within the context of the 1972 election. This stuff [[2016) is cyber-ish and really 21st century with hacking, foreign intrigue, invasion of online privacy, etc.

It is different now, there was not all these network news channels that are basically propaganda arms of political parties. At least 30% of people would defend Trump if he raped someone in the whitehouse on camera. FOXNews ruined America and to compete for ratings MSNBC and CNN followed suit just with different parties. MSNBC wanted to be like Fox, they even fired Donahue for being against the Iraq war. Only people the media really hate are the anti war republitarians and progressives. This is my view from 40,000 feet, just below the heavens:
