Anyone know whats going on at the old trailer park site? Trees were cut down. The cement pads are broken up.

Whatever it is??? that area is ripe for development and has some beautiful views of the river. I used to put my little rowboat into the canal right at the foot of the Alter Rd bridge next to that first house on Riverside Dr [[built in 1905!) Its amazing its still standing and in near pristine condition. I hope someone will build on the the old Trailer Park site, maybe Tommys will reopen and start selling sliders and shakes again.

Too funny...
The same people who are planning to turn Belle Isle's boat club into a hotel had also mentioned that they had plans for some sort of residential next to Mariner Park.

Old news & no development.....
Bob Jackson said the Vintage Hotels group, based in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, has bought 7 acres of waterfront property on Detroit's far east side next to Mariner Park and plans to develop it as the first residential property in the group's portfolio.
