Said to be the largest Arabic city outside the Middle East, Detroit is home to a rapidly growing and vibrant Islamic community.  Arabic immigrants to Dearborn have revitalized that once declining community.  Unlike all other inner ring suburbs [except Southfield] that lost population in the 1990-2000 decade, Dearborn saw its population increase by 10%.
