Yahoo should still come here if he wins out. Force entirely new industries to come to Detroit. Auto-biz stuff around SE Michigan has atrophied for decades.

Why would a company like Yahoo want to leave California for SE Michigan?
Pls. make the business case.
I'm not saying you can't but it needs to be made.
One can make the case that the 'business case' for moving automobile manufacturing from the Midwest to the south was right to work laws and reduced employment costs.
What is the business case for moving a silicon valley company to Detroit?
Employment costs? Housing costs? Office costs?
Is California like Detroit for automobiles a very high employment /cost of living area and Yahoo could pay their employees much less in Detroit than in Silicon Valley?

There is no case, other than wishful thinking. I love the optimism, but some cost of living differences are not going to be enough for companies like Yahoo and talent that works at companies like Yahoo to come to Michigan. At least not yet. Maybe one day we'll wisen up and stop blocking companies like Tesla, and have a few Yahoo offices here. Baby steps. Why would a company like Yahoo want to leave California for SE Michigan?
