Catholics are now allowed to be Freemasons,
for at least the last 25 years that I know of.
In fact, I once noticed some of the headstones at
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery had the square and compass Masonic emblem. Since a cemetery usually accepts/ disallows a tombstone, it must be OK with Catholic management there.
