I like detroitfunk.com
Modeldmedia.com Hands Down!
www.detroit1701.com
A wonderful website...thoroughly researched!
Blogger John I look forward to reading it.
At the risk of shameless self promotion my own blog makes my heart beat a little faster.
Model D I agree...
Wow...great minds must be thinking alike. I was just wondering this same question last night. Thanks DYes...you are the greatest people!!!!
Good stuff, gang.
Living out here in the desert, I usually start my day by clicking on http://www.clickondetroit.com/wxcam/1807532/detail.html
to see what the weather is like back in the old home town.

Thank you so much for this thread. My computer died in early July and I lost my bookmarks. This will help and I'd love it if people expanded their answers to Michigan as well.

All have great information!
I think that www.buildingsofdetroit.com is one of the best sites about Detroit. They research in such depth, and provide such a wealth of information and resources. Definitely a must!
Also, don't be shy about checking out the city bird blog! We write about events and developments in the city:

Agreed. BoD is very well researched, well written and full of interesting peeks into our past; also, your blog Andylinn is outstanding. I didn't know you had moved into the Canfield Lofts. Looks nice.
This is the only one I read, other than occasionally the online Freep and News.
Thank you very much, Kathleen, for the nice mention of the www.Detroit1701.org
website. If you see things that need to be changed or wish to suggest sites to add,
please let me know: renf@umich.edu
My favorites are Sweet Juniper and Detroit Blog, but lately I've been reading a relative newcomer, Detroit Lives!:
http://www.detroitlives.org/newsblog.html
Of course, I'd also recommend my own blog, think Detroit:
http://thinkdetroit.blogspot.com
And I'd give honorable mention to two blogs that frequently feature Detroit, Rust Wire <http://rustwire.com/> and Next American City <http://americancity.org/>.
Detroitfunk is a cool site, so is Ed Golick's TV site. I get a kick out of the WSU Virtual Motor City site too, I only wish the descriptions on those great pics were more thorough.
My personal favorite... http://www.detroitpslbasketball.com/
shameless self-promo....
