Hopefully they will also replace the ghastly current lanterns with ones that look more like the originals.
About Waterworks Park Tower, HistoricDetroit.org says it was demolished in 1945, but I could swear it was still there in the 1950s when I was a kid. After a little digging I found this item but can't verify the source.
