The Lions got annihilated. I guess they had an impressive comeback in the 2nd half, but I really wasn’t that impressed.

I'm always amazed at how much press the Detroit media gives to the Lions. Every year they are terrible and there is positive article after article about every position player, most of whom are obviously not very good.
I will follow and be patient with the rebuilds of Detroit's other 3 teams, but not the Lions, especially when so many players turn over every year and there's never any progress.
You think it's bad now, just wait until they get halfway decent and make the postseason one day--and dog forbid they make it past the first round. The axles on the bandwagon will buckle and then break from the weight of fair-weather fans jumping on board.I'm always amazed at how much press the Detroit media gives to the Lions. This town's gonna blow up if and when the Lions ever win a Super Bowl. [[Yeah, I know, most of us will be dead and there'll be a NFL franchise on Mars by then.) I recall how nuts we all went over the Wings' Cup win in '97 and how long that 42 years since their previous Cup win [[1955) felt. Well, with the Lions it's now up to 64 years...and counting.
I think the perceived media overkill with the Lions is simply the result of more and more outlets trying to fill all the various channels---social media, streaming, etc.---that didn't exist even a few years ago. Every other guy's doing a podcast out of his basement, FFS.
Local sports writers are to the Detroit Lions as fluffers are to porn. Same goes for the head coach, who doubtless has fluffing in his job description and contract.
Hope no one feels this to be a thread hijack, but I was pleased with the great Monday Night F'ball game where my adopted Las Vegas Raiders pulled out a win. The Lions don't play the Raiders this year, but I'll sure have split loyalties if they ever do.
I guess you had the sound down while listening to some smooth jazz and just watched the white players huh Ray?
Wait a minute---I thought you quit the NFL. Ya know, all those uppity black guys.
Ray's just been trolling us. He's probably got a Colin Kaepernick poster hanging in the garage, next to the Farrah Fawcett and Easy Rider ones.
Hmmm, I sorta recognize them. Two members of Trump's cabinet?
I think that Monday night game against Green Bay is huge. Packers actually looked way worse then the Lions did last Sunday. Vegas has them at 11.5 point favorites, that’s a lot. Id love to see the Lions pull this one out - I hate Green Bay and I hate Aaron Rogers.
Huge if you're looking for one win on the sched. or betting the spread maybe.
Win, lose, or draw.....Green Bay, Wisconsin, is a great town to be in on a football weekend. Been there done that. Wow.
Green Bay - a revenge game against a horrible Lions team. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will make it a long night for Lions fans.
Interesting, though not surprising article on 538 site discussing about how historically bad Detroit teams have been the past 3 years.

That article is certainly accurate regarding the last 3 years but fortunately it no longer applies. Tigers are competitive coming out of the rebuild and the Pistons should be with Cunningham this year.Green Bay - a revenge game against a horrible Lions team. Pistons still need one more year before they should be expected to sniff the playoffs. Cunningham is 19 and will have growing pains, and we still have Blake's contract on the books this year. 30 wins this year will frustrate the impatient, but then hopefully off to the races in '22-23.
I basically agree but the youngsters like Hayes, Bey & Stewart have a year of experience and the Pistons really tanked down the stretch last year just by the way they were assigning minutes to ensure they were competitive but still lost. I think 38-40 wins is possible.Pistons still need one more year before they should be expected to sniff the playoffs. I'm going to be in the UP the night of that game; could be interested watching from up there. Most Yoopers are either Green Bay, Chicago or Minnesota fans
So dissent equals disloyalty? Black NFL players are disrespecting "all white people"? Do you really believe that nonsense?
Nobody thinks the Lions are going to the Super Bowl. Pulling for the Lions to beat Green Bay on Monday Night Football next week, doesn’t make you the equivalent of a behind the scenes worker at pornographic film shoots.
Same ole' stinky pussy cats! Playing football like girls!
Packers 33
Lions 17
Both defense and offense SUX!
0-3 WOW! What a great start!
The Bobby Lanes Curse continues.
