Richard, your 950 persons per day migration rate might
be a stretch. It might be true but for only the briefest
of time spans like two weeks or two months.

I casually Googled it. For the pandemic year uptick in
migration especially from hard-hit New York and New
Jersey, for the entire year from July 2019 to July 2020
[[I think) the estimate based on Census data was 661
persons per day. That's still a lot of people! It may be
though that it was young people in New York losing their
restaurant kinds of jobs or being dismissed from school
and selecting Florida as the optimal state to weather the
pandemic in with some young people moving back after
vaccinations and normalization of life in New York
and New Jersey. Time will tell just how many stay and
how many move back.
