In 1920 Station H8 became WWJ Radio. In 1948 The company started WWJ TV NBC 4 in Downtown Detroit on the corner of W Lafayette and Third St. [[Now The NABET Union Building) in 1970s The company broke away from WWJ by Post Newsweek Stations and change its CALL letters to WDIV NBC TV 4 and later by Detroit News and Free Press which its later owned by Garnett Station. WDIV TV 4 NEVER left Detroit. It been here from good times and bad. And WWJ will be the beacon of radio news for our changing times.
