I hear that. IMO in both cases some Machi traits persist. It's going to be interesting to see how this unfolds. I think Pelosi jumped out there too fast showing her hand. The far left will leave her 'to herself' if they have to adapt the course in removing or beating Trump 2020.

Cuomo's thinking down the road, a road with plenty of forks and busted bridges ahead, left so by those fighting for and in power right now!

I don't consider myself far left, I've lived in NY far longer than he has been governor, and it's my opinion Cuomo will say and do whatever politically suits him best, not his constituents.

Of course he's far from the only politician guilty of that, and there are many, many who are worse. But he has never and will never get my vote.

Back to topic, and speaking of cynical machiavellian politickers who are far worse and who have never and will never get my vote: Trump.
