Things are a little tight right now, but there are a lot of properties coming on line. For instance the great-location Strathmore renovation is set to open this coming year with 40% 'affordable' units.

Keep an eye on the WSU student paper the SouthEnd. The paper always was a great place to find rental ads but looking at the website just now, it seems they do not carry them there. I notice an article there that the Regis Housze [former St. Regis Hotel] apartment conversion is coming on line in January.
The room types include studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom apartments. All floor plans include at least one private bathroom. Rent starts at $543 per month for a studio apartment, and tops off at $1523 per month for a two bedroom/two-bathroom apartment.

I suggest you cite a price limit, whether or not you need parking, and other factors that could help with the forum's advice.
