That in itself is a recipe for disaster when facing a gunslinger like Phillip Rivers.
Until Levy gets back it will be much the same. As much of a gunslinger as Rivers is, he had 0 attempts over 20 yards on Sunday. It's those crossing routes over the middle that exploited Detroit. Levy is the best cover LB in football, period. He almost led the league in INTS a few years back.

If the underneath throw is there, teams are going to take it all day to avoid Lions pressure. The Chargers found their "honey-hole" with Levy out. This wont be the case once he returns. Fingers crossed it's this week for that return.
