All urban ruins are in Detroit. Detroit is the global repository for urban ruins. Its also home to every homeless person warming themselves around a burning can of scrap wood to keep warm while desperately seeking out drinking water.

But seriously folks, we don't have too many remaining unrestored, rotting movie palaces anymore, outside of the fabulous, world-class United Artists ruin, fortunately roofed by Ilitch -- although a decade too late for my taste.
