Famous for cheap, Cloverleaf for thick, Aldo's for real Italian.
Is Bellcasino still around? Is that the same one from Alter and Mack?

Try Supino Pizza in Eastern Market. They make an amazing pie.

Nonas on Harper, between 7 and 8 , Harper Woods . Da Best!
Between this thread and the Marcus Hamburger thread, you guys are torturing me. I'm stuck in a place right now that doesn't have good burgers or good pizza.
Me too... I live in Atlanta now. Although they did just open a Jet's and Little Cesears here. Detroit still is the best for my favorites and value. Here you pay allot going out to eat.
My wife and I dropped in at a place called the Green Lantern in Madison Heights, which claims to be the best pizza in Detroit. It was pretty close!
I've heard that Louie's in Hazel Park is very good and the lines out the door seem to back that up.
Both of those are good spots. Louie's is very similar to Buddy's. A lot of people think that Louie's is better. Some other good spots are Como's on 9 mile and Woodward and Boston's on Hall Road and Hayes. And of course, let us not forget Pizza Papalis.
Nikki's in Greektown is pretty good.
Both very good choices. Two Guys from Italy on John R in Hazel Park is another good one in the area.
Second on Supino's. Extraordinary thin crust pizza.
Anyone who has ever had Louie's knows it's far superior to Buddy's. Buddy's doesn't even come close.
Louie's.......done
My top three in order, Buddy's, Papa Romano's and Cloverleaf. I've had Louis and I like it, but I like the sauce on Buddy's and Papa Romano's better. And for me, Cloverleaf isn't consistantly good. Some nights, especially when they aren't busy, I think they reheat some pizzas.
Boy, I'm glad I already had my lunch!
Cal's Cal's Cal's Cal's Cal's
Gilbert's and Nona's are good, but not as good as Cal's.
Did I mention Cal's?
Talk about lucky. As the shuttle dropped me off to Long Term parking, I get a call to meet someone at the Eastern Market. After the meeting I went to Supino's. That little Hole in the Wall has some good pizza. Thanks, DY members, I never really paid attention to this place.
ps Where's Cal's?
On Harper, a few blocks east of Cadieux. Past the now-boarded-up Geneva's.
