Sounds like it's in one of those areas over by Eliza Howell Park. Perhaps Grayfield St.?
"Free ranging everything". Most excellent!!
There are white folks in Brightmoor?
Love the name. You can't help but look. And they look like quite unique people following their own vision. Obviously it takes a lot of daily energy to make a thing like that work.
It's Riet Schumack's place. Wonderful people.
I'm currently staying at Knuckle Head Farm. I found out about it through WWOOF.org [[WorldWide Opportunities for Organic Farmers). It's a beautiful place to be. Riet and Mark Schumack are community activists and all-around great people. Riet runs a community youth market garden and is involved in countless projects. Feel free to ask me anything.Does anyone else know about this? I cannot find the direct web site but found this link:

Yup! The property backs up to the Rouge River and beyond that is Eliza Howell. A perfect location, really.
They have a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/KnuckleHeadFarm
Here's what the proprietor says:
"We have just one room with a private bathroom. We are open all year. We have no website but we are listed on Airbnb where most of our bookings come from."
I grew up in Brightmoor and went to Redford High late 60’s....Glad to see this and congratulations to the owners for their business rightwhere it counts Detroit!!!
