I looked up the term "the Low Countries" thinking that low countries translates into the nether lands, [[meaning lower, under, or below in English) Wikipedia said 'low countries' translates into 'Lage Landen' instead of nether land. In school, we were taught that the 'low countries' consisted of Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
