Longest Going Out of Business sale ever.
I heard it was going to become a close out center. Kind of like how the old one at 7 Mile and Mack used to be in it's last years.
They're becoming an outlet center. They were doomed when A Home Depot and a Lowes were built in their parking lot. The Target isn't helping sales in other area.
The Home Depot and Target were there before Sears open. Lowes opened at roughly the same time as the Sears.
But it's not just that Sears, all Sears/Kmart stores are stuggling. I'll be surprised if the company still exists by 2020.
The line of tools sold at Sears are way better than whatyou get at home depot and lowes. I live only a few miles away, and I think I have gone to the sears store at 13 and gratiot before I would go to Eastland.
The eastland mall is just going down the toilet
Sears has been kept going by its tools. They have lost in drygoods for years and Lowes, Home Depot, and a few other places have been making serious in-roads into their appliance sales.
