My family is planning on attending the Titanic exhibit at The Henry Ford. Anyone know of other related events/dinners/activities in Metro Detroit? Thanks!

The IMAX at The Henry Ford is also showing two Titanic movies - one is the actual Titanic movie with DiCaprio from 15 years ago...but I guess it's all 3D now. The other one - which definitely intrigues me - is Titanica.

The Stagecrafters in Royal Oak are putting on Titanic the Musical until the first weekend in May

The Titanica movie is lousy. I saw it when the Titanic Exhibit was at the Detroit Science Center a few years ago. [[some Russian guy who scammed the latitude and longitude of the wreck when Bob Ballard found it went down with Russian made subs and was taking items off the ship, and bumping into it; instead of picking items out of the debris field.) Poorly made IMAX film too.
I will definately be going to see this exhibit.
24 Grille is recreating the last dinner served on Titanic on April 18th.

My friends at the Great Lakes Titanic Society have compiled a calendar of Midwest events commemorating Titanic. I've contributed a few of the Michigan events as I came across them:

Looking forward to tomorrow evening's Titanic Dining Experience at The Stagecrafters. Also hoping to make it up to Frankenmuth to see the Titanic exhibit at the Frankenmuth Historical Museum. Of course, I'm planning to see The Titanic Exhibit at The Henry Ford as well as Titanic 3-D.
Aside from the fact that it sunk, I can't imagine anything else being relevant.
Kinda' ghoulish and shameful to me the way people have latched onto this as some kind of reason to party and make money.
I can now recommend the Stagecrafters' production of Titanic: The Musical. They have done an excellent job! The set is very well done. Costumes very nice. The music splendid. And the actors terrific!! The combination is a compelling, moving, and at the right times, humorous production. Bravo!!
Runs through May 6.
