There are a lot of articles, stories, websites, etc. about places like The Grande Ballroom. BUT has anyone written a book, website, article [[anything?) about what could be called the "sub-Grande" Detroit rock scene in the late 60's and early 70"s? I tended to go to places like Something Different, The Birmingham Palladium and The Chalet and saw many very good acts [[Frost, Bob Seger, SRC, Brownsville Station, Sky, Teegarden and VanWinkle for example) cut their performing teeth in these venues and others like them. Other venues like the Kimball High ice rink and the Royal Oak Farmers Market also drew large crowds for rock shows, and I'd like to know if there's a written history of that scene somewhere.
