So where's everyone who doesn't have a ticket going to be watching the game from on Friday? Downtown Detroit, Royal Oak, Mt Clemens, your mom's couch? Debating where to go to get the most party for my buck.

My own couch. The lines to the bathroom are much shorter and the beer is considerably colder and cheaper.
On the couch at Casa Lodgedodger.
My recliner in from of my 56" HDTV
I need free tickets to the game, lower bowl only. I'll also need beer money.
Here, at home. With my budgeted 24oz can of Molson's. CBC, of course.
Fearless Bobl's Friendly Forecast:
Wings 5
Pens 2
Shall we designate a "DETROITYES" area for watching the parade?

We’re headed either to Foran’s or to the area outside the Hockeytown Café. The beer’s better at Foran’s, so that’s my current leaning.
Motion Carried:
Parade Site: Foran's
Rain Site: ejames's living room
Last year, I was at Hockeytown for game 5, when we had our first chance to win it. That was intesne, triple overtime! It was a tough loss, but I stayed confident... it's the wings, how can you not? Anyhow, for the game 6, I had to miss all but the last 10 minutes because my gf has purchased Death Cab for Cutie tickets months in advance... BUT, it was at the Fox so I just ran next door after the concert.
This year, I went downtown for game 6 when we should've won it.. But not for game 7 I have to be at a friends concert in B'Ham. I should be able to catch some of the game, but you CANNOT beat watching the game in the D. Unfortunately I will be in sleepy b'ham.... probably on my parent's couch or something, watchign the game. GO WINGS!
The admission charge is outrageously expensive but if you're willing to fork over that sort of cash, I'll make sure the beer is cheap and cold.
And ejames01 has a much better television set than my feeble old school set.
Bronx, NY [[on tape delay) after I get out of work. Sadly, there will be no drinking as I have an early morning... I will be wishing I could be at Buddy's Pizza!
after clipping all finger nails and hiding the glassware on me couch...
At least you can justify the missed game because you saw a great band. Imagine the ridicule you'd receive if you went to see, say, the Poison Reunion Tour!
I'll be watching it in my hotel room in Danbury, CT. I'd go to a bar, but I'm pretty sure they don't even know what hockey is.
I'll be watching on the jumbo screen at Abick's. Bathroom lines are short and a the bar bill is crazy cheap for as much drinking as my mates & me do. Love a cheap date...
Can't beat their hot wings either. Good times, good times.
Oh - and - GO WINGS!!
I'm watching it from home with my husband and whoever else wants to come over.
Has anyone heard a potential parade date, if applicable? I have to get it off of work, for sure!
Is there ANY hockey fan that likes Bettman?
He has absolutely no connection whatsoever with the game, its history or what makes the game the best sport around. And after seeing his marketing "genius" [[queue up the sarcasm meter to full tilt here) with Michael Jordan and the NBA, I don't think it's a good plan for the NHL at all. Promoting individual stars over teams, storied franchises and a league's rich history doesn't last- once that star diminishes, retires or ends up being a bust, the scheme fails miserably. And Bettman's franchising of teams to non-hockey markets has proven to be a bust at best [[Florida? Atlanta? Phoenix? Tampa Bay?). His television contract with Versus is a total joke- some of those broadcasts aren't any better than the early days of ON-TV!
But rather than thread jack here, I know I'll be hissing & booing when he comes out to present the Cup to the Wings this Friday.
I grabbed a room at the Book Cadillac for the night. I plan on watching the game at either Hockeytown or the Shillelagh, a little partying, then back to the room.
Hopefully watching it somewhere, Not stuck in traffic out by MIS.But being superstitious I shouldn't watch it at all.
