I was wondering as I drove by Chrysler Stamping last night if one day it may hold a splatball course alla the Packard Plant downtown.

Is this a "build it and they will come" plan?
They didn't seem to come for the EV1 or the Electric Ranger, etc.
There are several newer companies making light rail vehicles and new energy technologies in the U.S. that are doing great, but because of various reasons can't get the kind of capital to expand as much as they want. I wonder if there are any components GM could easily make with the facilities or machinery they have on idle for other companies. GM may be able to get into said industries without getting into the business planning or engineering side at all. The same question could be asked of part suppliers.
