    While the lack of notice is not good, it is understandable for drivers to be concerned about their safety. To me, the embarassing [[but not surprising) part of the story is that it took the police 30 minutes to respond.

    What about the safety of students, both college age and younger [[some kids use DDOT to get to school when school busing isn't available). What about the safety of people trying to get to work?

    All these people and kids were waiting out at bus stops in the freezing cold before the sun came up because these yahoos wanted a three day weekend.
