The next logical step in the argument is that Hitler came up with the idea for the 2nd bridge.
lol awesome.
Snyder said he'd create jobs, what he didn't tell us is that it would be foreign worker getting the jobs......He is the real life version of a Transformer....Actually a Decepticon!!!
Chinese firms have brought in their own workers from China to man construction projects in other countries. Is the Freep's Dickerson unaware of that? He mentions only bond buying by the Chinese or using foreign made components.
ya know what! were to stuborn to bulid a bridge that we clearly need, so id be more than happy for China to build it for us
Many Maroun is a great representative for for modern Americas decline, a billionaire who will do anything to get richer. Build the new bridge and use him for part of the foundation,
^This.^The next logical step in the argument is that Hitler came up with the idea for the 2nd bridge.
Matty is a filthy crook.
Sheesh Moroun is funding the [Ypsilanti?] Tea Party activists now? He is going to make the Koch brothers jealous.
The ad was posted under a J.C. Ross & Company on YouTube. I can't find anything on that other than this from LinkedInJ.C. From the article:
"I didn't say I had evidence," Moore said. "It's a suspicion."
Sometimes, I don't know whether to laugh or cry, when confronted by Tea Party logic.
My favorite example, though, would be the "Cut Taxes Not Defense" sign carried by one member recently.
Why is the Tea Party targeting Snyder? Aren't they on the same team?
LOL! From Rawstory:It seems the Tea Party is only on the Tea Party's team.David Lewis [a Republican tea party candidate running for Ohio’s 8th Congressional District] told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto that he hopes to defeat Boehner in the Republican primary by running on the tea party platform.
“John Boehner is a socialist,” Lewis explained. “I’m not calling him names.”

When all else fails, prey upon people's fears to win your battle.
This is a lot of effort just to not have a bridge built because you won't own it. Imagine if Matty used this force for good!
Matty is just shameless. The commercial that got me is the one currently bold-faced lying about Snyder supporting the bridge over local road maintenance, when the entire deal concerning the new bridge would allow us to leverage Canadian funding to not only build the bridge but fix all of the local roads. All of the commercials have been horrible in their deception, but that one took the cake, for me. Again, the bridge deal would facilitate fixing up the rest of the roads, something we can't do now. You literally just about every major group backing this except the Senate Republicans.
Rick Snyder is too moderate for the Tea Party; they consider him a RINO [[Republican In Name Only). Mitt Romney and John McCain are also considered RINOs.
Atilla the Hun would be too moderate for the tea party, and people should stop letting themselves be bullied by a group that poll after poll has shown to be a fringe minority with a bark much bigger than its bite.
the sad thing is that a lot of people are believing the TV commercials, not paying attention to who is paying for them.. so many people in the region have no idea who Maroun is, what he owns, the properties he does nothing with, etc.
Jesus, I can't believe the ignorance of some of these posts. Snyder is ALLIGNED with the Democrats in building the scond bridge. Why in the name of Christ is the left bashing him for supporting the bridge. There is no China connection to the bridge. It's a concoction of the far right. Yet while fending off right-wing extremist, Snyder must contend with disaffected liberals who are so disconnected from reality they can't figure out that he is supporting an initiative -- the second bridge -- backed by every union in the state.
Do you have any examples of a significant amount of liberals who oppose the bridge, because I sure haven't seen or met any? The Dems [[and just about every other local official and state agency and organizations) have been trying to get this thing built for years.Jesus, I can't believe the ignorance of some of these posts. It's not entirely a concoction. The bridge is very likely to built by an infrastructure construction consortium from Spain, France, Australia or South Korea [[or their U.S. subsidiaries, using mostly U.S. workers).Jesus, I can't believe the ignorance of some of these posts. China does invest in such projects, but perhaps not this one, from folks I've talked to.

This isn't exactly news. Only a handful of companies in the world do P3 mega-infrastructure projects, and the largely foreign bids [[sought by MDOT last year for interest on the project) were from the usual suspects.
The likely scenario is that U.S. workers from U.S. companies [[including some from Michigan) will be subcontracted by the U.S. arm of a foreign infrastructure company will build NITC.
A good example is the Port of Miami Tunnel, one of the first big U.S. P3 projects. It was $1 billion, is owned by the state of Florida but was built by France's Bouygues S.A. [[which bid interest on DRIC/NITC).
And the veracity of Moroun's various claims aside, almost all of the firms bidding on DRIC/NITC doubt tolls will pay for it and want taxpayer-funded availability payment subsidies instead, which would act as a cover against any shortfall.
Canada is using availability payments on the Windsor-Essex Parkway, so it's very possible they'll be used for the bridge. It's largely a Canadian project, so what Ottawa prefers likely will be the financing method used, I'd guess. The key is ensuring the likely revenue shortfalls are on the backs of the bond underwriters and/or Canadian taxpayers.
I've already heard tea-partiers call Goldwater as someone who was a liberal, and i've heard some call Milliken a socialist
So true. They eat their own.
Tea Party Candidate: 'Boehner Is A Socialist'
The problem with it being built by the Chinese is you'll want to cross it again in 20 minutes.
