Demolition to Clear way for amphitheater in Hart Plaza

There's a part of me that simply wishes that city officials would come up with a different statement. They've used the exact same verbiage to rationalize every demolition since the Old City Hall came down in 1961.

Does anything about this demo need to be "rationalized"? Ford Aud was a failure from day one. It's been empty for a generation and serves no purpose whatsoever. the only ones "rationalizing" anything are those who prevented its demo for this long.

I do agree that an amphitheater is a silly use with Chene down the street.
