Sam Riddle will be sentenced in Federal court on October 6th. I like what I hear the prosecuting attorney has to say about Mr. Riddle. What do you think?

Hit the road, Jack, and dontcha come back no more, no more, no more, no more!
With good time since Sam went in early he'll be home by Dec 11. Hopefully over punishing, a washed up, non elected, non violent, senior citizen @ the tax payers expense in a depression is a low priority for the judge.

How can Sam spin this one?
are there other 'consultants' in the region who are possibly on the take? Mongo?
I doubt Sam will do much more time behind bars. Hopefully, he has saved himself from a long incarceration.
Here's the latest on Sam Riddle's sentencing scheduled for tomorrow.

Sam's request for a delay in sentencing is denied.

Gotta love the "I'm not a public official" defense.... I guess that not being elected means you're not a public official. That must mean that the Detroit Police Chief is not a public official either....
Sam Riddle received his comeuppance today, the maximum sentence allowed under his guilty plea agreement with the Feds, 37 months.

His defense was that he was never paid by the city. Never drew a city check. All his wages came from so-called non-public funds. He might have succeeded in confussling a couple of jurors with that defense - as hair splitting as it is - except he racked that shotgun on poor Mary and that put him away under State law.
If he would have gone to trial on the Federal charges he would have faced a uphill battle. One he would have had to do it from behind bars; two, if convicted he was looking at 15 yrs.
I wonder if he gets his wish of being placed in Milan. He'll have a neighbor he knows there.
They won't stay dead! They won't stay dead! They're like zombies walking this earth denying past deeds and their consequences.

Sam Riddle must be working his charm behind bars. I've never heard of a prisoner being given the freedoms Mr. Riddle has enjoyed. I can't help but notice that Charlie Langton represented Mr. Riddle in this matter. That must be the lawyer who appears on Fox 2 News on occasion. It's a small world in Detroit.
..I couldn't help but chuckle watching Fox 2 coverage of the story, they mentioned that Riddle is cleared to have conjugal visits while on leave to attend his mother's funeral..
