Treasury Secretary Geithner is asked about hiring Neil Wolin as Deputy Secretary, even though Wolin helped draft the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which gutted the Glass-Steagall Act, which caused the deregulation that led to the economic crisis.

In Cramer We Trust?CNBC's Jim Cramer being taken to task for his careless financial advice is the result of a larger problem with traditional media. Rather than investigating and reporting, they simply take talking points from corporations and spout them off as legitimate reporting. Mike Papantonio talks about how these financial pundits have bankrupted the economy, as well as the entire journalism profession.

Total duration 16 minutes:PNAC 2.0 and a Book From George W.With all of the depressing news that's been making headlines recently it's always nice to look at the lighter side of the news. From Glenn Beck's manic depressive actions on national television to former president Bush thinking that he actually possesses the mental capacity to write a whole book, there's a lot of funny things happening in our country. That's why Air America's Mike Papantonio talked with comedian Matthew Filipowicz [[HeadzUp.tv) about the most absurd news stories of the past week.

Jimaz, better cash in with Godowntv, this new format simply does not lend itself to being the vehicle for sales that the old one was for you.
Ring of Fire's Weekly News April 4th, 2009
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Mike Papantonio take the corporate-controlled traditional media to task this week, by doing the job that they are supposed to be doing and actually reporting the news that matters. This week's topics include Glenn Beck's manic depressive on-air breakdowns, the recent EPA findings on greenhouse gas emissions, and the new report on how much George W. Bush panicked during 9/11.

Green house gas emissions...CO2...which have no effect on climate or warming....doesn't matter how high the emissions are in that context. BTW, check out the output of a volcano....NO MORE VOLCANOS...slap fines on them and cap and trade them penalizing the country of origin.
Silly and absurd by design as an illustration of a profound principle.
Scientists can disagree all they want, it is the science itself that matters, not the heavily coerced opinions of the scientists recruited by the greens.

Extreme Infants! Rocket Fuel In Baby Formula!Cross-posted at the Huffington Post.
As time passes, the full extent of the damage that the Bush Administration inflicted on the country and the world is becoming more and more clear. You may recall that last September, it was reported that George Bush's Environmental Protection Agency would not regulate the amount of rocket fuel in our nation's drinking water. As a result, sites in 35 states had dangerously high levels of the chemical perchlorate in their drinking water.
I actually wrote a post about it here, including a cartoon about a new "Extreme Bush Energy Drink" called Rocket Water. For those of you who haven't seen it, take a look.
Now you'd think, rocket fuel in your drinking water... that's pretty bad, right? But as I said earlier, the full extent of Bush's damage has not yet entirely come to light. I say this because, in case you haven't heard, in addition to rocket fuel in our drinking water, it has now been reported that there is rocket fuel in baby formula.
That's right. Baby formula.
So without further ado, please enjoy my sequel to Rocket Water... Rocket Formula!
Not to get all heavy handed here, because really, what's funnier than babies eating rocket fuel? But, if rocket fuel in baby food isn't enough to push through meaningful environmental legislation, what on earth is?
