It was a sad day today--Michael Julien hosted his last live show on WDET this afternoon. I, for one, will miss the Caribbean flavor on free FM in Detroit.
I'd like to wish him and his family the best of luck in their new home.

I haven't been able to listen to him in a few weeks, why is he leaving? This is a sad loss to Detroit Radio.
That is sad to hear. Michael is a good guy. Hopefully, his regular career is taking him to greener pastures.
We're also sad to see Michael go here at WDET. His last show before he moves to Maryland to pursue new opportunities will air August 29th. We've posted some more details at our site here.
If you'd like to send your thoughts to Michael, you can email him at mjulien@wdet.org.
We still don't have information to share on what program will fill his time slot but I do know we're planning some specials with him over the course of the year.

Couldn't he just host the show remotely? Or as an alternative, isn't there someone that can be brought in to host a similar show? I do remember hearing some really good music shows on WDET when I lived there, and I hope you can keep the tradition up.
