It was a dry cleaners for years, then the cleaners went out of business about 5 years ago and sat empty until P & G fixed it up and moved in......
It looks like a converted convenience store on Google Maps Streetview. If it wasn't for the link at that CDC, you might think it was a business. I imagine they get cheap or free rent as a result of their being an initiative of the CDC, rather than a straightforward business.
I have nothing against that, I'm just thinking out loud.
As a kid growing up in Detroit on the far east side [[near Balduck Park)... I remember our neighbor across the street [[on Marseilles) Mr. Lappicolla had his own truck [[with striped awnings).... and can still remember him driving down the neighborhood streets calling in his loudspeaker.... "Strawberries... Strawberries... 3 quarts for a dollar... Tomatoes... Peaches... Sweet Corn..."
I use Peaches and Greens all the time!
I live out of town [[Grand Blanc) and regularly use Peaches & Greens to deliver food to my disabled grandmother. They are very phone friendly. The prices are reasonable also. I love the fact that I can get fresh produce delivered right to my grandmothers door step.
