Michigan was blocked off between 24th and 25th streets due to a fire on the eastbound side. It was around 4:30 this afternoon. Does anyone have more info?

i was going eastbound on west grand just before the lodge at about 4:40ish and a parade of 9 cop cars went blowing by lights and sirens roarin'. i was wondering what that was about...
speakin' of fire. I was at the Tigers game tonight and the fire alarms went off during the 8th inning throughout the entire stadium as well as a automated public address guiding us toward the exits. Turned out to be a false alarm but it was the second most bizarre thing Ive been witness to at a baseball game. The first was the year of the moths with all of the birds in the outfield.
It was the Blue Disco, or whatever it was called. Too bad, as it was a good lookin' building, just in an area that isn't seeing much in terms of redevelopment.
Bummer. Another tooth knocked out of the historic commercial face of Michigan Avenue... Too bad about the fire, but I'm glad it wasn't the Grosfield Building at 23rd Street. I really hope that 23rd Street studios will be able to renovate these buildings.
