I don't know whether to be encouraged or discouraged by this story in the Freep this morning.

Initially outraged at the arresting officer's extreme misbehavior, I see a glimmer of hope in the fact that one officer stood up for the man who was abused by them.

But even then, Internal Affairs ONLY was called in when almost $500 cash turned up 'missing' from the guy's wallet.


They picked the wrong man to hassle that night in Rosedale Park. They might not have been able to pick anyone WORSE, for the cause of broadcasting the city's trouble with some veterans who get burnt out on the front lines. Or worse.


Why can't the bad cops be laid off, and the good ones stay?!
