I remember about 15 years ago on the far east side when a Kentucky Fried Chicken employee was killed on East Warren [[east of Cadieux). They installed bullet proof glass soon thereafter, but kept the restaurant open, where it's still doing great business.

I know that many Detroiters are insulted by the glass barriers at many locations [[such as party stores). But if it's the price of the business owner to staying in business [[and stay alive)... then I guess it's the price that has to be paid.... reluctantly.

After all it's all the rage for banks [[in the burbs as well).
