So does anyone have the numbers for the largest parking decks in the area? I assume the deck at the airport would be number one followed by Greektown. What other parking decks would be included in that group? Blue Cross in Detroit?

MacNamara: 11,500 spaces
Greektown: 3,500
Blue Cross: 1,825
[[disclaimer: unconfirmed by current, official sources)
The ones at U of M hospital and across from West Quad have to be up there.
The last two times I was at METRO Airport the MacNamara Deck was very empty. We always park off site because its cheaper.
The McNamara terminal parking garage was the largest in the world at the time of its construction. Several in China have since beat it out.
this is an embarrassing thread.
Joe Louis has 3000 spots but 1200 are unusable due to neglect.
I'm sure the MGM garage is somewhere near the top.
Don't be embarrassed by this thread! This is a perfect example of our can-do spirit, our engineering know-how. Instead of wasting our time on silly, wasteful folderol like light rail and serious mass transit, we've wisely invested in these mammoth buildings so we can park our cars without having to walk more than a football field. Progress! Savor it!
Uh oh, here comes The Light Rail Brigade!

Yes 313WX.... the MGM Grand Casino is way up there... in fact it's the largest parking structure in the city of Detroit with supposedly 10,000 parking spaces, some of which are for DTE Energy use.
Not sure where you got that number from. It has 5,625 spaces.
... figures... I got the number from someone who took me there [[I'm not a gambler)...
Love the signs when you drive in "1586 spaces open" on next level. It's absurdity
