Well....that only looks THAT way because of Windsor City Council, not Matty himself. If it were up to him those homes would've been long gone. Windsor has made a new by-law I think for Old Sanwich Towne about the demolishion of buildings, specifically to stick in Matty's side. Too bad too, not one of those homes was in bad shape before this all started. Matty has to know he'll never get permission to build his bridge here. He should just cave and sell the houses back to the public before they really go to shit.

Anyways....for the MCS, I agree that any attention to the building at all is better then nothing. Windows and a roof will go a loooong way towards preserving this beauty. Those windows and roofs are probably one of the main reasons nobody will buy it. Imagine walking up to it and thinking....I have to replace all these?
Once this is done, seal the old girl up inside at the 4th floor so you don't have to heat it or power it [[well....minimum stuff anyways), renovate the lobby and those first few floors and you'll probably find a buyer.

I never thought it meant anything other than Moraun looking for attention. Whenever he's in the news related to the bridge project[[s), coincidentally there's always new windows on MCS.

Maybe we should hope he's in the news constantly.

Pfft, not if all he's doing is putting up fake windows. He hasn't even given the facade a nice washing.

So at this rate, a strip of windows a month, it'll only take about 5 years to get the windows in.

Unless he gets his second span, then he'll forget all about MCS. [[wait, what's the difference....)

Which, is always funny as one of his main lines of objection to the public bridge is there isn't enough traffic to support another bridge. IF there isn't enough traffic to support two bridges, why are you hell bent on building one?

someone needs to get a Donald Sterling tape out of Matty...

Technically Matty wants to build a twin span in order to close the current bridge with the new one, so his "traffic is down and will never recover" argument, I can see him throwing that out there.

This thing is going to be tied up with lawsuits and litigation forever. Basically take that 2020 proposed timeline and push it back until Matty passes away.

It will extend long beyond his death. His son is a bigger piece of garbage than he is and will continue the scorched earth/litigation strategy. This will be tied up in the courts until father and son are both dead and resting in hell.

Why are new windows being put into a building that has a "date with the wrecking ball"? Can someone explain what is going on?

They look like 4 pane windows, like something that would be in apartments?

I still fail to see the relevance of installing windows on an otherwise completely devastated building. I haven't seen any journalists raise this issue, either.

Haven't they done roof work as well? Isn't keeping the elements out pretty much necessary if they are going to actually do other work as well?

Heh. If roof work has been done, so be it- but in my opinion this doesn’t mitigate the devastation that otherwise defines the overall building and grounds: decayed/ caved in floors & ceilings, hollowed-out and crumbling walls [[plaster/drywall/concrete, etc.), deathtrap stairwells, ubiquitous graffiti, [[possibly) exposed lead and asbestos, vermin infestation, etc. If simply weather-protection was the issue, I wonder why the window-spaces weren’t simply boarded up with heavy nails. If the DIBC is [[supposedly) trying to “pretty up” the building to potentially sell, it’s extremely piecemeal. If I were a developer, I might even be vaguely offended that there may be a sharp bump in price just for “the new windows/roof”. But, oh, well. It’s their money. ‘Yay capitalism’.

At least windows would make it less prone to yet more ruin porn pics!

I agree, took the words right out of my mouth; I don't get it, and putting lipstick on a pig, still leaves me with a pig

Why is indian road in Windsor all boarded up? Looks like a non firebombed out block on the eastside. To make way for the bridge?

Uhhhhhhhhh... It's been pretty well known that these installations were to help figure out the size of the windows, what will work best, etc. That building has an insane amount of windows, and from my understanding, most of them are non-typical size. So Matty Moron has been installing a few of each different size to figure out what he will need. It makes perfect sense to invest a small amount of money to try and find the best cost/effective ratio when it comes to the windows. And it very much sounds like Moron might be doing something with MCS.
