Henry Ford Village is in Dearborn and Portmeirion is in Wales.
So many people decry the lost architecture of Detroit but we have examples
of salvaged areas here and overseas. Hell, even Livonia has an area
over by Newburgh and Eight Mile for some old historic buildings displaced
though out the city.
It would be nice if some group formed together and made a village of salvaged
gems. Down the road, said village could be a tourist attraction and maybe pay for itself.
Enclosed is an example of a salvaged piece from Portmeirion.
