Inclusive of that reading and beyond will reveal a great deal about Margaret Sanger, one of the founders. Check out http://blackgenocide.org/ which speaks to the 'disproportionate' abortion rate per the black population.

The NAACP is silent on this subject, so are many so called 'minority' friendly organizations.

Now, this is NOT TO SAY that I do not believe in responsible parenting. I DO. I am just aware of other agendas that get mixed in when the subject comes up. Woodwardboy's original post spoke to that some of that perspective...

Well stated. For those of us who seek security above what's available [[and can afford it) will opt for private security, and/ or bold measures of self-security. And you already have to go into the suburbs for more and more basics and amenities no longer available in the city......

...People will be able to run and hide from this as long as they can have private security, gated communities, and shop in the burbs. In other words the less contact with the underclass the better.

So then how do we make people love eachother, or at the very least look out for each other? Block clubs are being tried some places. They have their limits but they could be successful in getting people more vigilant.

You don't really get an idea of just how bad Detroit's murder rate is until you compare it with other cities' crime rates.
Detroit's murder rate looks really bad when compared to other cities, at least in 2009.
