Some great responses here. It all starts with a dream, and I wish that, like DetroitPlanner noted, we all could get that "POOF! Your wish has been granted!" result.

But for the most of us, dreams happen when we work toward results - when we're willing to roll up our sleeves, get a little dirty, and sometimes even a little dizzy.

Detroit is full of comeback stories and dreams achieved - and it's great to see such a varied, vibrant list of "what's next" for our city, expressed here by its brightest, most hopeful thinkers.

Those who are fortunate with money and time - but without inspiration - take a look at all the investment ideas here!

Use the bricks from all of the abandoned houses they are knocking down to bring back the brick streets from Nemos passed MCS to the Freeway, install a nice grassy median with benches and brick pavers in the middle two lanes, extend the sidewalks to accomodate outside dining.

I would install an electro-magnetic system [[os some such thing) that would prevent autos from entering an intersection on a yellow or red light.

I have a recurring dream that I will be T-boned by some idiot running a red light - Wait! That already happened.
