Again, we know that most Metro Detroiters are struggling this year, including the members of GSCC. We hope that you can find it in your heart to help us with this very important event, even if it's just to give your time to help us prepare, serve and clean-up.

Thank you again for your continuing support of
our efforts to improve our community and
help those who are in need.

As you are doing your Thanksgiving shopping or even your regular grocery shopping afterwards, watch for some sales and perhaps you could pick up a couple of items to donate to the GSCC Holiday Dinner. Check the list on our website for what is needed before you make up your shopping list.

Just as a reminder, everyone is welcome to join us for the dinner. Please come and see what GSCC is all about and the progress we have made over the last year.

We would love to see everyone again. It has been too long since our last visit. We are planning on a trip over the border, but I'm not sure which day it will be. If it does end up being the 18th can I email you at the corneroffice that morning?

    A few questions:

    - Should we arrive early? We will have one turkey [[cooked, carved and warm), slow cooker full of cooked squash, and 2 gallons of milk.

    - Is there electricity to plug in the slow cooker, or should we just make sure it is hot/warm when we arrive?

    - Is there heat? Is there a bathroom? [[thinking about my Mom)

    Thank you!

If you are volunteering to serve dinner, yes, you should arrive a little early...maybe 3:30 or so.

See you Saturday...and again...thanks so much for everything you do for us!

GSCC is a hugh bright spot for me. Love to see all the progress taking place and wish I could be a bigger part of it.

Will drop off the ham tomorrow but as my life always spins oddly I got asked to cook up some stuff for a friend for his office party. If you see this note, let me know if you have other needs for the feast.

I have to travel to do this cooking so need to know what else you could use by tomorrow. Something that will keep for a few days. I make a good cheesecake. Or we have a little extra cash that could go to plates, napkins etc.

My husbands illness makes it next to impossible to comit to volunteer time. But if its a good day, who knows, might be able to help set up.

Really love what everyone is doing for GSCC.

I just looked at the photos on georgiastreetcc.com. Oh my gosh, it's outstanding! It did not look like that during the Super Bowl Party! Mom is still haunted by having to use her first ever portable toilet. I will show her the photos and I'm sure she will change her tune!

    See you all soon!

Sumas: I think we are pretty well set. If you would like to donate to the cause, that's fine, but we have purchased or planned for all the necessities as of today. You are such a giving soul...may your holidays be blessed with Peace, Love and Joy!

Crystal: Yes...we have come a long way since 11 months ago. The pictures don't do it justice...wait till you see it in person!

I was thinking I need to visit Cub and the GSCC. Not having been there since before the Goat showed up, The center does look good. Maybe I should find some more stuff I have been saving and take a ride down there.

Cooked turkey will be in a 12" x 10" x4" aluminum roaster pan. Cooked squash will also be in a roaster pan [[not in a slow cooker as I posted earlier.)

The turkey and squash will be hot when we leave home.

    See you all soon!
