    Isn't that the vast open space by Huber and Mt Elliott that was the ill-fated I-94 Industrial Park? The school in the background has been demolished, right?

    On another farm issue: For what it's worth, I have a copy of a Free Press article that mourns the last farm in Grosse Pointe City. The article ran May 25, 1958. The farm was owned by Belgian-born Henry Staelens, whose family, I believe, also owns -- or owned -- a garden supply company along Mack Avenue east of Cadieux. The farm also ran along Mack, between Neff and University, which as east-siders know borders Detroit.

    Staelens bought the property in 1892 for $3,000 and his family sold it for 91 times that.
