American rock 'n' roll, pre-1967, which is when it all went downhill.

Wayne Shorter's "Night Dreamer," 1964: Elvin Jones, Reginald Workman, McCoy Tyner, Lee Morgan. Not his best, but it's still Wayne Shorter.

The new Front Line Assembly album has some great stuff if you are a fan of the Industrial genre.

Thanks LDoolan. I used to be a big FLA fan but then 'ol Bill Leeb decided Delerium would be better for him and I lost interest.
You can definitely hear Al Jourgensen's influence on this album with the heavy guitar riffs. But it is still a true FLA album to me [[they are finally getting away from the mass hysteria dance shit, like SP did on their last album {a disappoint to me} in the same vein as some of the late 1980s they produced.

    Goat- I agree!

Ministry is one of my favorite bands, too bad they retired. I did get to meet Al Jourgensen at a show & got him to sign a couple of things for me. I never realized how short he is in person. 5-7 tops.

I would be happy to die while while listening to Stevie Wonder's "Superstition."
    Very superstitious,
    Writing's on the wall,
    Very superstitious,
    Ladders bout' to fall,
    Thirteen month old baby,
    Broke the lookin' glass
    Seven years of bad luck,
The good things in your past

    [Chorus]
    When you believe in things
    That you don't understand,
    Then you suffer,
    Superstition aint the way

    Hey

    [Verse 2]
    Very superstitious,
    Wash your face and hands,
    Rid me of the problem,
    Do all that you can,
    Keep me in a daydream,
    Keep me goin' strong,
    You don't wanna save me,
    Sad is the soul

    [Chorus]
    When you believe in things
    That you don't understand,
    Then you suffer,
    Superstition ain't the way,
    Yeh, yeh

    Very superstitious,
    Nothin' more to say,
    Very superstitious,
    The devil's on his way,
    Thirteen month old baby,
    Broke the lookin' glass,
    Seven years of bad luck,
    Good things in your past

    When you believe in things
    That you don't understand,
    Then you suffer,
    Superstition ain't the way,
    No, no, no.

Oh, my. That Cobham LP was a true staple of my listening roster for a couple of years after its release. An early sampling of the then-lesser-known John Abercrombie, to boot!!

    "Bandits," yeah!!
