Drill deep down into The Old Discuss Detroit » NON-DETROIT ISSUES » Music - What are you listening to?
"I Can't Stand The Rain", by a most under rated, soulful singer, Ann Peebles.
I think I posted my own song under my old Sean_of_Detroit moniker... at work today we were out on the balcony and one of my coworkers said she could hear her neighbor's music across the street, he had been playing it for two days, having some crazy party in Midtown.
Here Downtown I could hear the music from the techno fest, but right now my neighbor has "Hot Town Summer in the City blasting on loop", rather than complain I went ahead and synced mine up with his.... yeah, we jammin' and I'm the clearly the biggest loser in the city. LOL!
CHEERS!
Overly bored and hoped up on green sport drink.
I Can't Stand The Rain / very nice tune indeed ! Humble Pie did a fairly good version as well .
You may have heard this tune at the Joe when the Wings get a penalty .

Today, it is some good ol' X. Nice stuff. They rock.
Edit: ha ha. When did this thread get moved to "connections"? Thought I got booted off the site by Lowell or something. Too funny.

The new Alejandro Escovedo, "Street Songs of Love" is amazing.
Just listened to several versions of Route 66: Nat King Cole, Chuck berry, Rolling Stones, John Mayer. John Mayer's version is surprisingly good!
