Welcome zombies,
to the Hazel Park Zombie Walk!

WHAT IS A ZOMBIE WALK, YOU ASK?

It's when a bunch of zombies roam the streets, creating mild havoc and making a general spectacle of themselves. We ask that everyone who plans to attend bring as many people as possible.

WHY DO IT?

Because as a free citizen you have every right to dress up like a zombie and walk around public property.[[the First amendment was made with zombie walks in mind, you know) When else can you walk around the streets in full zombie attire amongst many others alike? There is a certain sense of freedom that comes with walking with a limp in bloody clothing, and a pale face covered in gashes. Some of us just need that every now and then.

WHY:

Beside having a blast and freaking out the unsuspecting locals? We'll be walking to raise awareness about world hunger, and to raise food and funds for St.Justin's church, a Hazel Park food bank that has recently ran out of food, leaving them to turn down families in need of food.

HOW:

We ask that each zombie bring at least 3 cans of food. Even if you are not walking, your canned food will still be appreciated.

WHAT DO YOU GET FOR YOUR EFFORTS?

Other than the chance to walk with the dead, a chance to feel good for the act of giving food to families in need.

WHEN: The Zombies will meet at 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 23rd.

WHERE:

We will meet at Hazel Park City Hall located at the north-east corner of Nine Mile and John R. The walk will start from there and make a huge square and end back at city hall.
There's plenty of parking across the street, might be a good time and for a good cause.
