Does everyone making $8.00 an hour lower the price of things as people cannot afford to buy stuff? How does some company try to sell something at set price if nobody can afford it, don't they lower their prices also?

Just look at WalMart. They drove a lot of their manufacturers out of the U.S. by demanding rock bottom wholesale prices from them. Now they buy from China where people work for less than a dollar an hour. The spiral keeps going down and turning it around isn't easy.
If people do not have money to buy something, how does any business make money if they cannot sell their products.
If a bear shits in the woods, does it still stink?
I think that is the least of their worries.
