So cool, so jealous, so intense. I want to go next time!

I drove up [[and back down!) Pike's Peak with my wife, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law in 1997. My wife got a little altitude sickness at the top but other than that we all really enjoyed it. I still remember the guy at the gate at the bottom telling me I had to be sure to have enough fuel as if I were going to travel 80 miles!
Yikes is right. I used to work at heights, but started getting vertigo in my old age. I cannot even watch that Schwarzenegger movie with him and that horse on the roof. LOL
I just saw a video...youtube I think.....of three guys base jumping off the Ren Cen. I was hyperventilating just watching that. Someone was holding the video while they were just standing two foot from the edge. Holy craped pants Batman.
Here is the base jump video, watch at your own risk!

I wonder what year that video was shot...
Beautiful pix. I closed my eyes at that one looking straight over the edge though.
"They must have special pants to transport their massive balls."
Gorgeous, I miss old buildings....
That last shot...woooooooahhhhh..
Totally awesome pics!
Lucky you. Chene Park and Belle Isle were some of my favorite spots in Detroit.
