Jim, Visio is made in the good ol' USA, also!!!

I know this was once true Ray, but the box for our Vizio was labelled "Assembled in Mexico." From what I've read on the web, its innards come from a variety of places.

So we have hope that they were assembled by people who someday will become Americans......close enough!

Sony TV's, while not made in the USA [[boooooooooooo) are very well built machines. Sure, they have their issues, but when you are pretty much the most widely purchased brand [[or pretty much the highest selling) a lot of people are going to have issues, but it's a very very small percentage. I have a 50" Sony DLP high def TV and I love it. I also bought it in '05.
