Yes, after almost a year in the waiting for the liquor license, MotorCity Wine is now open

Detroit, Mi, July 13 2010 — The newest addition to downtown retail comes in the form of a wine shop and tasting bar with a slant towards “Value Boutique” wines.

Motor City wine stocks approximately 125 unique wines from all over the world that represent great values in their category. 80% of the wines chosen will be in the under $20 range, with many selections available from $6-$15.

All wines are available for on-premise consumption as well for a $5 corkage fee. In addition to full bottles, 12 wines are available by the glass. Wine friendly snacks and cheeses will be available as well.

Owners David Armin-Parcells [[a certified sommelier), and Mark Szymanski are trying to create an unpretentious and affordable venue to drink and learn about wine.

Motor City Wine is located at 608 Woodward above Foran’s Deluxe Diner and will maintain business hours of 11:30-7:30 Monday – Friday, 12:00-5:00 Saturdays, and will be closed on Sundays. Evening events will take place regularly as well. Sign up for the mailing list @ motorcitywine.com to stay informed.
