I'm trying to find a white male named Robert Wright. He is in his mid 60's to mid 70's. He grew up in the greater Detroit area, sold ice cream in East Lansing in 1963 and might have possibly become an electrician later in life.

Seems many people are looking for "Mr. Right".
I just found out Robert Wright was a Lineman for a Utility company. In 1964 he was about 6'5", had reddish brown hair and has hazel eyes.
Most likely he was a union member, and that'll probably be a good way of finding detailed information. Most tradesman unions keep pretty detailed records of their members and from what I have seen are not very stingy about sharing them. I'm not sure what union represents lineman in the Metro Detroit area, but I'm sure someone will chime in. Good luck .
If he worked for an electric utility, then it was most likely Detroit Edison - now DTE. Here's a link to their retirees web site, I suggest that you contact someone involved in one of their retiree clubs.

If he worked for a phone company, he most likely worked for Michigan Bell - now AT&T. Here's a link to their retiree web site.

Thanks for the help guys. Everyone I've talked to so far must have had superglue for lunch or something. Any other ideas?
Robert Wright could be a motor cycle gang member. He was shot in the 70's near Bay City or Saginaw.
If he was livng in the Lansing area in 1963, then became a lineman, he might have worked for Consumers Power, now CMS Energy. There are a couple of forums where you could ask around:
