If you put "282 Eliot" into "street view," you get to see Slumpy again! There was absolutely nothing like it - Slumpy was the poster child for the house-moving industy. Bricks like to stay put...

So you are complaining that you had a neighbor that cared about the way that his property looked and that he tried to keep it looking nice. Really???

So sad that the city used to be so nice.

Because of my OS and browser, I can't link directly to street view. Click on the linked text below, then click on the red 'A' and click 'Street View'. Set the compass 'N' to the 9 o'clock position.

Driving towards downtown in Delray and looking towards your right, clicking the forward arrow reveals a burnt out building... restored... and then quickly reverted to decay. Note the building in the distance on the same side.

Too funny, they caught the 'lawn nazi' in action.
Though, to his credit, the old 'Addams mansion' looked much better than it did back in the 70's.

That's some sort of glitch on Google's end, not an actual misspelled sign. Hit the arrow and move a few feet further north, and the sign shows up normally.

Wow. Also quite the change of scenery if you go North on St. Aubin. The sky gets pretty overcast and the building goes from having a logo to being painted white.

Any info on that building? It says "Detroit Trucking Company" on the facade.

And what's that new logo on the front of that building? American and Canadian flags? And that figure. Is that a bust with red testicles???

On the more narrow roads in the Netherlands and England you can encounter this....

I just saw this thread and it reminded me of something I've been meaning to ask about for some time...

Can someone fill me in on what this fenced in, barb-wired lot is on Woodward right across from the Bonstelle Theater?

There is grass there, indeed, and you see grass in lots of places, but it's somewhat unusual to see grass and dirt protected by barbed wire [[even in Detroit). Wouldn't you agree?

Aerial photos show a multi-story building fronting Woodward as recently as the year 1999. Looks like there was parking in the rear. I can't remember what the building was, and I have know idea why it would be fenced off.

Hey, right at 'your' spot, there are some really strange "men"
standing there...I bet they are made of steel truck parts, based on the biz right there, but the sun is too bright to tell for sure. Ever see it in person?
